Life On Our Farm

Published on
It that’s time of the year, just before the rains, that fish in the river that flows through the farm migrates further upstream to spawn. I took some snaps last month a few kilometers further up the mountain and actually witnessed fish leaping the waterfall!

You have to be very quick on the shutter button to catch the action, so remember that camera if you are planning a farm-stay with us or even just dropping in for the day. Either way, we hope to welcome you to the farm soon.

Greetings Chaiwat, long time! Sorry we haven't been in contact. I love the blog...neat! We are all planning to come over and visit later in the year and will let you know as soon as we have finalized our tvl arrangements. Where did you take this snap? Was it at that waterfall further up the valley where we went for the BBQ with Warren that time...amazing! I thought only Salmon leapt! K.

Hi Kate, swadee krup! Thanks for the note. Yes it was near that little outcrop in the river where we all went for the BBQ that time. The fish leap only at a certain time of year and it's the first time I've seen it so it very lucky! I read that they leap at this time because not so much water as rainy season. The fish we call Pla Plung. They are very much like Koi and are different colours.
It will be very good to see you all again and so please let me know when we can expect you. Please send best wish to Roy and the kids from us all here on TDF. Thanks again. Bye for now Kate. Ae
