Life On Our Farm

Tree pruning!

9/3/2019

It’s that time of year when we have to prune the trees around the farm not only to make it look neat but to allow more sunlight into the undergrowth and gardens.
This year it was quite a mammoth task as you can see form the snap below but after a hard day’s work by our devoted team we were nice, neat and tidy again!
Pruning comes but once a year!...and for that we are very thankful!!

A tree's dormant season is nearly always the greatest time to trim or prune it. Although you can prune a pine tree at any time, it is best to do it when it is in its dormant state. The sole exception is when there is a danger. Make a careful assessment of the size of the branch you'll be removing. It's fine to remove it if it's smaller than five centimeters in diameter. You might not want to do it if it is between five and ten cm in diameter. In the case of anything more than 10 cm in diameter, you should only do so for a very good cause.

Tree pruning is an important task to maintain the health and appearance of trees. It's great to hear that the team at the farm was able to complete the task and make the area neat and tidy. By allowing more sunlight to reach the undergrowth and gardens, the trees will be able to thrive and create a beautiful landscape. Keep up the good work!

I appreciate you mentioning that this time of year is when we need to trim the trees surrounding the farm to keep it looking tidy and to let more light into the gardens and undergrowth. My mother noticed that the tree was overgrown. I'll advise her to hire experts to remove her trees.
