This is young Oscar, a recent visitor to the farm with his Kathrong. He was so excited to see it floating on the lake and how could we resist not posting this Cherub-like snap? How sweet it is!
Coffee & Fossie are a couple of the cutest bunnies you’ve ever seen! They are just over 3 weeks old now, a little early for Easter but just right for a cuddle!
Emily and Edward are frequent Guests enjoying a Farm Stay on Thung Dong and Daisy and Lilley are a couple of baby mountain piglets born to Maggie and Alf last November (see the blog of 9th November).
Daisy and Lilley roam free around the farm but usually hang out wherever there’s food about! They mix well with the dogs and Oscar the cat. They are both very tame but we haven’t been able to stroke their tummies to make them go to sleep ( a trait peculiar to 'Moo Doi')…until Emily used her magic touch! Now just give those fat tummies a quick rub and over they go…fast asleep!...but now we have to do something about their terribly loud snoring! Over to you Emily! ....and here he is today on his 1st birthday! All grown-up and as big as his mother. He has a wonderful personality and a great life here on the farm
and has graduated from his baby mud bath to the lake in which to wallow! Happy Birthday Noah jnr! To all of our many Chinese friends and Guests 'Gong xi fa cai!' Happy New Year!
May the year of the Fire Monkey bring you good fortune, much happiness and many blessings. From all of us here on the farm! Thung Dong Farm, Thailand. We hosted several families from China recently and on one quite wet and chilly afternoon we brightened-up the day with a session of Krathong making! Great imagination from the kids…except the one of the face is supposed to be of me!
Once night-time falls setting the Kathrongs out on the lake is quite magical! |
