WARF–The Wild Animal Rescue Foundation of Thailand - have recently based their local headquarters in our village of Ban Champi. They have established their offices in our friends house just before the turn-off onto the track that leads to Thung Dong. What a fantastic privilege to be the centre of this amazing project! Let’s all wish WARF much success in their endeavours which will hopefully lead to the call of the Gibbon being heard amongst all the other sounds of the jungle that we currently enjoy!
Part of any excess income that we receive from our valued Farm Stay Guests will be contributed towards this truly amazing project!
Please check their web site for a more detailed description of their commendable work : www.warthai.org
Work continues, albeit at a Thai pace, on the new Sunset Room, Kitchen, Bathroom, Sala and Garden.
It has taken so much longer than anticipated mainly due to the fact that we 'down-tools' whenever we have Farm Stay Guests so that we do not disturb our visitors in any way.
The next post on this project will be when it is complete but no promises when that might be....but hopefully in a few months time!
Some Rain...at last!
We have had the first rains of the season and the country-side looks so green, fresh and renewed! I just wanted to share this snap with you!
