It must be that time of the year!
Nam (water) was born 2 days ago beside the river; her mother is a pink Buffalo, Nohn, but her father is grey, Nam seems to be very white!...but she will turn a light shade of pink as she gets older. These snaps were taken very soon after she was born and she was still finding her feet! She’s going to be a very spoilt buffalo on Thung Dong and we’ll keep you posted on her progress! Just right for a cuddle!

Not our New Year Festival but this little fellow who appeared last night just in time for the holiday! – the Thai New Year! He was born about 2 weeks early and is so tiny that he is half the size of the dogs! In fact you can carry him around in your arms! We thought that we would call him Songkran! ...a very special time of the year and a very special little calf!  It's Songkran! We wish all our friends and web-browsers a very happy Thai New Year filled with good health, much happiness and many blessings. From everybody and everything on Thung Dong Farm!
 The dry season is now upon us!...and we have set-about clearing a long stretch of farm land at the foot of the hills. It’s an area that is seldom trodden and the farm can be seen in a different perspective. The Farm House is hidden amongst the trees to the centre right and the other buildings blend into the country-side just the way we planned so we don’t disrupt the natural beauty of the Thung Dong Valley and surrounding jungle and hills. A perfect perspective if you ask us!
