A few days ago I was driving in the rain to the village of Huay Kaew to have some lunch and I saw a cardboard box at the side of the road on the edge of a rice paddy. I thought that this was rather strange so I pulled over to see what it was.
There, sitting in the open end of the box sheltering from the rain, I found a baby kitten; I say baby because she must have only been not more than one week old! I looked around for her mother and maybe some other members of her family but she was all alone and very disheveled. She is so pretty having three colours just like Molly our Beagle! Of course I picked her up and returned to the farm, dried her and gave her some milk and a snack, she was very hungry! She is so cute and I will keep her on the farm and I have called her Lili! Here is a snap I took of her; she now looks so much better than when I found her and I know she feels safe and comfy! The dogs have been very good and Oscar the cat has taken a keen interest! Next week I will take her to the vet for a full check-up and to plan her vaccinations for when she gets a little older but for now Cleo is the newest member of our family and she can look forward to a life of ease, safety and comfort with us here on Thung Dong Farm! UPDATE! 29.6.22 So I went to visit my parents in central Thailand. I hadn't seen them for almost 2 years and I took Lili with me. My Mom fell in love with her so now Lili is living with my Mom and Dad and being very much spoilt!
